E-Mail problems with the Principality!
26 June - 30 June 2008
Our supporting server company underwent a huge hardware and software upgrade over the last couple of days.
Late yesterday June 26,
some representatives of the Principality began to experience problems
sending/receiving e-mails through the Principality's own e-mail hosting
service, allocated to authorised representatives of the Principality.
Investigations have led
today, to the finding of a problem at the server which will be rectified
over this weekend in a number of stages.
The rectification I am
assured, will have been completed by lunchtime western standard time on
Monday 30 June 2008.
In the meantime, some
users of Principality e-mail addresses may not be able to access the
receiving of e-mails, though most of those should be able to send.
Please bear this
information in mind should any problem seem to occur regarding these
addresses.
The problem should only
exist for a few users between 26 June and 30 June by which time all will
have been fixed.
Should any e-mails not
have been retrieved before this problem occurred, they will be waiting to
be collected on Monday, I should advise however that there may be a period
Monday morning where any mails sent to any Principality hosted addresses
may be "bounced" and returned to sender as undelivered. This, if it
happens, should only last for a window of an hour or two.
There is also a chance
that the Principality home website at
www.principality-hutt-river.com and it's mirrored sites may also go
down, for an hour or two on Monday morning, though I have been assured
that chances of that happening are very slim.
It is unfortunate that
this problem has occurred but we at the Principality realise that
sometimes things just "don't go right" and this is one of those times.
The Principality is one
of a relatively small number of clients that has been discovered to have
been affected in this way.
All will be back to
normal Monday June 30, 1pm, Western Standard time.
Should anyone still be experiencing problems with Principality e-mail
addresses after Monday Lunch, Western Standard time, then please do not
